Banjo Ginga

Banjo Ginga (November 12, 1948-), born under the name Takashi Tanaka, is a prolific Japanese voice actor who works for Aoni Productions. His voice work spans video games, anime, tokusatsu and movies. With over 50 years of work experience in multiple mediums of the industry, he is a highly respected actor. His style of voice work often involves narration, commanding, powerful personas or sometimes stoic but over-the-top characters.

Some of his most notable roles are Liquid Snake in the Metal Gear video game series, Captain Blue from Viewtiful Joe, Souther from Fist of the North Star and Daisuke Jigen from the Lupin the 3rd movie: The Fuuma Conspiracy. He has also been the dub voice for Darth Vader in certain releases of the Star Wars films.[1] [2]

Banjo Ginga was the voice of Cyborg 005 for the 1979 Cyborg 009 Anime and the 1980 feature film.
