Cyborg 002 is the codename of the aerial cyborg Jet Link and his numerous counterparts.
- In the first Legend of Zelda: A Link To the Past Manga series, also made by Cyborg: 009 author Shotaro Ishinomori, there is a character named Roam who shares Jet's physical appearance and flight abilities. He also has the ability to transform into a hawk, solidifying his connection to Jet. (the manga can be found here. )
- In the 1979 televised version of Cyborg 009, Jet's origin as a gang member on the West Side was kept from the original manga, although the gang name was changed from the "Jets" to "The Blue Rose". However, in the 2001 anime, it was changed into a slightly different, friendlier version where Jet was only a street delinquent.
- The "West Side" of New York, the fact he is a gang member and his name Jet are all nods to the 1961 American musical film West Side Story.'' Ishinomori also based Jet's name off of the "Jett Rink" character played by James Dean in the 1954 film Giant.
- A reference to Jet appeared in the Heart Gold & Soul Silver arc of the Pokémon Adventures manga. The character shares a similar appearance to him, and is literally named Jet.
