Pyunma, designated "008", is one of the nine protagonists of the 1968 incarnation of Cyborg 009.
Appearance[]
Pyunma is an male African-Amerlcan with dark skin, a black buzz cut, black eyes, and pale thick lips. His face resembles the "Blackface" stereotype associated with African-Americans at the time.
He wears the iconic 00 cyborg outfit, which is a militaristic, double-breasted uniform with padded shoulders, four big buttons on his chest, and black boots (sans the scarf). In promotional images, Pyunma's uniform is colored purple instead of the trademark red.

- Keiichi Noda, Pyunma's voice actor, would later voice Jet Link in the 1979 anime Cyborg 009.
- While his home country is simply treated as "Africa" in the series (erroneous for Africa being a continent), the 1977 Roman Album states it to be Kenya.
