I Won't be Turned into a Fighting Machine! is the twelfth episode of the 1979 Cyborg 009 Anime. Part of the story of this episode is a recap of the events of 009's origins, which is taken directly from the "Birth" story arc of the original manga.

Upon stopping at a ferry port, he runs into a hotheaded young boxer named Takeshi, who reminds Joe of what he was like in his youth.
