Joe Onodera (小野寺 丈, born January 29, 1966) is the first and eldest son of Shotaro Ishinomori. He works as part of Ota Production, and also runs his own production company known as JOE Company.
He is best known for being a drama actor and the co-screenwriter for Shin Kamen Rider: Prologue, but would later become associated with the Cyborg 009 property in 2002, when he co-wrote the three episodes of Conclusion GOD'S WAR: Prologue, an OVA attempt at adapting his father's unfinished work.
He would later pen the first "GOD'S WAR" light novel in 2006, but the novel series would go on hiatus for six years, with volumes 2 and 3 being released in late 2012 and the manga adaptation starting up shortly after, completing its online run in Shogakukan's Club Sunday in 2014.
