Sugar Sato (シュガー佐藤, born Toshio Sato/佐藤 利夫, 1953- ) is a manga-ka employed at Ishimori Productions and a former assistant to Shotaro Ishinomori.

He has been active since the early 1970s.

BioEdit

After being a signwriter in Miyagi, Sato moved to Tokyo in 1970, where he became employed under Ishinomori as his assistant.

In 1973, he would make his official debut with the Inazuman manga, in the version serialized in Shogakukan's Second Grade magazine through 1973-1974. At the time, he was credited under his birth name.

Sato would work on numerous other derivatives of Ishinomori's works through the 1980s, including the manga for the film Cyborg 009 The Movie: Legend of the Super Galaxy, as well as the TV Land kids' manga for Kamen Rider Black in 1987.

Following Ishinomori's death, Sato would eventually wind up being the second artist used on the manga of Conclusion GOD'S WAR, and would illustrate two 009-related one-shots in 2014 and 2015, after the manga's wrap-up.
